Each application is safe to use in your decision, includes all required disclosures, and answers all of the most important questions you might have for your applicants. The best available and most accurate criminal record database scan covering local courts from all 50 states plus DC, jails and prisons, and wants & warrants.
Sex Offender Registry Search
A database scan of all available U.S. sex offender registries to help landlords and real estate agents determine whether they can legally approve an applicant based on the location of their property. A physical description and photographs will be displayed, when available.
Nationwide Eviction History
A civil court search scanning the nation’s largest eviction database with 36+ million unique records including judgments and filings – no duplicates.

How ApplyConnect Works
Everyone starts by having their identity protected and verified. Rental properties invite renters to purchase their credit and background check, and it's automatically shared within seconds.
Renters complete the online rental application - upload a copy of their ID and paystubs, add their digital signature, and submit it for the property to review and make their decision.
Properties use ApplyConnect to send a notice that meets with state and federal requirements regarding the decision to approve or deny the applicant based on their credit & background check.

FAQs
Renters purchase a copy of their report to share with properties they apply for, and ApplyConnect is designed for this to be the default process. Landlords may also choose to purchase the report for their applicants. This can be done easily through the “My Account” tab when logged in, and by checking the box that says “Enable Landlord/Agent Payment”.
Including the zip code of the rental property will add a bonus search to the tenant screening report. ApplyConnect will check the zip code for any local laws on what information can be used in the rental decision, and then will reduce your liabilities by filtering information that isn’t safe to rely on.
No! There is no part of the process that will have an impact on anyone’s credit score. If your social security number is required during the account setup process then it is only a one-time, safe and secure way of verifying your identity. When a report is purchased the renter’s SSN is requested again for the credit report, and it is used for a ‘soft-inquiry’ meaning there will be zero impact to the credit score.
ApplyConnect tenant credit checks always include an Experian credit report, a nationwide criminal database scan, and a nationwide eviction history. There is no need to select individual reports or pick from a variety of products – the report is designed to be fair and consistent for all applicants while providing the most well-rounded amount of relevant detail to make informed decisions.

The biggest difference is the VantageScore is newer, and is able to provide a score on over 30 million more renters using less information.
Of course! The website is secure, there is bank-level account security, and ApplyConnect doesn’t save or store SSNs. Reports remain available for 30 days before being archived, and are only accessible within the landlord and renter’s accounts to protect sensitive information.
